invenio VT expands intelligent 3D scenes for virtual geometric validation

Depending on the product and stage of development, virtual geometric validation (VGA) generates thousands of test results. With Quality-Monitor, invenio Virtual Technologies (VT) enables numerous OEMs to identify, evaluate and document geometric conflicts such as collisions or clearance violations using AI. For problem areas that require in-depth analysis beyond this automated assessment, invenio VT is now systematically further developing its intelligent 3D scenes.

Individual geometric conflicts necessitate further investigation. It is precisely for these cases that invenio VT has developed the intelligent 3D scenes. They focus on the problem from the optimal perspective and enable quick orientation within the spatial context of the problem area. This provides users with a quick, detailed overview of the affected components, allowing them to assess the conflict efficiently. The latest update further expands this approach.

Analysis functions directly within the spatial context

The new functions are specifically designed for the detailed analysis of geometric problem areas. Users can examine these areas directly within the intelligent 3D scene, freely rotate and zoom the view, and in many cases already make a well-founded assessment. Furthermore, the AI automatically sets the section at the relevant conflict point and calculates a suitable viewing direction. Both can be customised and supplemented with additional functions such as distance measurement.

More context for informed decisions

If the immediate conflict situation is insufficient for a sound assessment, the surrounding area can be reloaded. Information on neighbouring areas and spatial relationships is generated during the conflict calculation and is then immediately available within the scene. An integrated structure tree provides additional transparency: all loaded components are clearly displayed within it and can be specifically shown or hidden. This allows even extensive assemblies to be reduced to the components that are actually relevant.

Thanks to the intelligent 3D scenes directly within Quality-Monitor, users always receive exactly the level of context required for the respective analysis. “With the new functions, we are bringing all steps into Quality-Monitor for the first time, without the need for third-party software. This saves time, simplifies processes and enables significantly more efficient conflict assessment,” says Michael Pretschuh, Head of Sales and Marketing at invenio VT. With the further development of the intelligent 3D scenes, invenio VT is systematically expanding the range of functions in Quality-Monitor.
