More than just data: Geometry as a catalyst for product development

The new Quality Monitor: more detailed visualisation, higher speed

With the current version, invenio VT is driving the further development of Quality-Monitor in a targeted manner. The further optimised AI images, which show collisions and distance violations, now enable faster and clearer recognition of conflict points thanks to clearer colouring of the individual components. New sectional views make it easier to analyse component constellations in the integrated 3D scenes. The connection to 3DEXPERIENCE® makes Quality-Monitor even more open and flexible to use. The current release is complemented by noticeably improved performance with lower resource consumption.

Connect: automated workflows for analysis and simulation

Connect is also expanding the possibilities with the latest update: With the VT solution and the flexible DMU workflows, geometry data can be analysed, manipulated and simulated in digital product development. In the current version, this now also includes projection surfaces, analysing leakage paths and checking machining allowances on cast parts. The results can be used for simulation, documentation and data exchange. This reduces manual effort and shortens development times.

At the trade fair, invenio VT will also be demonstrating how free installation spaces can be automatically analysed using geometry subtraction in Connect. Unused areas are visualised and mapped as 3D replacement bodies. This makes it easier to place new components, helps to recognise conflicts at an early stage and ensures consistent subsequent processes in design and development.

AI-supported geometric similarity analysis of components

Another focus for the added value of geometry data is similarity analysis based on AI. It automatically identifies similar components and creates a sound basis for standardising them. Even large databases can be efficiently structured in this way. In practice, this leads to fewer variants, more transparency and less effort throughout the entire product development process.

Exchange on site

As a technology leader for DMU, invenio VT uses the prostep ivip Symposium specifically as a platform for professional dialogue on all aspects of digital product development. The event brings together industry, software providers and research and creates space for specific use cases and new approaches. "All visitors are cordially invited to come to our stand and talk to us about how geometry data can already be used today to make development processes noticeably more efficient," says Michael Pretschuh, Head of Sales and Marketing at invenio VT.
