Redmine Connector for Polarion®ALM™

Link Work Items to Tickets in the Redmine Connector for Polarion®ALM™

Do you work with Polarion® and Redmine in your requirements management? Then the Redmine Connector for Polarion®ALM™ is exactly what you need!

The Redmine Connector for Polarion® allows you to link Polarion® work items with Redmine tickets and to create new Redmine tickets from Polarion®. How does it work? The Redmine Connector for Polarion® extends the view of work items in Polarion® to manage tickets in Redmine. Redmine tickets can be created and linked bidirectionally between the two tools.

What Do You Need the Redmine Connector for?

Redmine is often used as a comprehensive ticket system. These Redmine tickets can have different sources and reasons: IT problems, tasks, situations where something does not work as expected  resulting in an open ticket. This also fits with test cases in Polarion®, as failed tests generate error tickets there. In addition to internal tests, a problem can also occur at the customer's site. The usual way would be to create a ticket in the ticket system  in this case Redmine. This means that there are two input channels  possibly even for the same type of problem.

Wouldn't it be nice if both sides knew about each other and information could be shared or linked to avoid duplication? With the Redmine Connector for Polarion®ALM™, we have connected Polarion® with Redmine by having Polarion® act as the source for the Redmine tickets.
