Connected as one – across all sites and via Microsoft Teams
We celebrated a special milestone: 40 years of invenio. It was on 1 July 1986 that the foundations were laid for our company’s history – a history that began with a clear vision: to improve technology, rethink challenges and actively shape the future.
To mark our anniversary, staff at our various sites came together in person whilst also being connected via a company-wide Microsoft Teams live event. In this way, many individual sites came together to share a single moment – very much in the spirit of ONEinvenio.
Following the welcome, the sites were interactively involved – with brief video links, applause and visible greetings from the teams on the ground. This shared start immediately brought to life what has defined invenio for 40 years: solidarity, commitment and a strong sense of togetherness across all departments and sites.
A special highlight of the programme was a look back at the company’s shared history. The anniversary film took colleagues on a brief journey through key milestones, decisions and developments spanning four decades at invenio. It became clear that: Our history is not just a story of projects, technologies and markets – above all, it is the story of the people who shape invenio every day with their dedication, ideas and passion.
Our CEO, Kai Wißler, also addressed the staff with words of thanks on behalf of the management team. He emphasised: ‘We make the difference – through our actions and by working together. That is how we will master the challenges of the future’.
After the official proceedings, the anniversary celebrations continued at the various sites: over snacks, drinks and good conversation, the teams had the opportunity to round off this special occasion together on site.
Today, invenio stands for high-quality engineering services, digital solutions and forward-looking technologies. What began as a bold design office in Rüsselsheim has, over four decades, developed into an international engineering and technology partner with 21 locations worldwide and over 2,000 employees.
Our anniversary is therefore not just a look back, but above all a look ahead: for us, ‘Engineering the Future’ is more than just a slogan – it is a commitment. We want not only to accompany progress, but to actively shape it: with new technologies, AI-supported product development, automation, sustainable engineering services, strong partnerships and the people who drive invenio forward every day.
